Pursuing a pure heart at all costs…

 As teens and young adults the reputation we have in society is very shameful. The majority of us are seen as selfish, immature and uncaring.  1 Timothy 4:12 Says,  ” Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in purity.”  We havent’ received this reputation becuase “we were born this way”, but because we choose to live this way. For some of us it is the way our parents raised us, but a lot of it is just our selfish nature. If we look at ourselves as we are now, will we want our children to behave like us someday? We need to change our way of thinking and way of acting NOW!  We need to be an example of Godly love and purity. Its not impossible, in fact God expects it! We can do anything though Christ who strengthens us! But we cannot change if we dont know where to start or if we dont really know what it is we need to change. We need to be in prayer, into  studying  God’s word and following  in Christ’s footsteps. It doesnt happen overnight, we will fail every day; but Christ can pick us back up and show us the way. I hope this blog is encouraging and will give some insight….. I dont have all the answers and I will fail and make mistakes each and every day, but God has given me a passion and desire to share what I believe with others. So it is worth making a fool of myself sometimes.
